The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County presented the Emeline W. Haney Award, the agency’s most prestigious honor, to Dr. Karla Garcia, pediatrician with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
Dr. Garcia received the award for her work with the CACHC medical program in partnership with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. “Dr. Garcia is most deserving of our highest honor. She tirelessly serves and advocates for alleged victims of child abuse in Hamilton County,” said Shelley McGraw, executive director of CACHC.
During the 2011–2012 fiscal year, CACHC served 563 children. The Emeline W. Haney Award, established in 1997, honors Emmy Haney, a founder of the agency.
Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is the region’s only full-service hospital designed to meet the healthcare needs of infants, toddlers, adolescents, and teens.
