The Franklin Haney Family, supported by FLH Company is involved in numerous charitable organizations that are dear to them. They have established the Haney Foundation, committing themselves to raising funds for DC Public Education Fund. The Frank Haney family also hosts annual fundraisers for the Children’s National Medical Center, MDA/ALS Foundation, and the Maddux Foundation. In addition, Emeline Haney has been instrumental in establishing the Children’s Advocacy Center in Hamilton County, Chattanooga, Tennessee. FLH Company is a family-owned and managed, Washington-based, multi-faceted business with national investments in real estate and property development. FLH Company is a recognized leader in innovative financing, imaginative acquisitions and creative planning. Frank Haney Jr. is currently the operating President of FLH Company.

Emeline W. Haney Award Given Out

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County presented the Emeline W. Haney Award, the agency’s most prestigious honor, to Dr. Karla Garcia, pediatrician with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. Dr. Garcia received the award for her work with the CACHC medical program in partnership with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.  “Dr. Garcia is most deserving of our highest honor. She tirelessly serves and advocates for alleged victims of child abuse in Hamilton County,” said Shelley McGraw, executive director of CACHC. During the 2011–2012 fiscal year, CACHC served 563 children. The Emeline W. Haney Award, established in 1997, honors Emmy Haney, a founder of the agency. Children’s National Medical Names Haney to Board

Children’s National Medical Center has several new officers and members of its governing boards. Children’s National Medical Center includes several corporate entities, each with a distinct focus and each with its own board. A recent addition to the roster is Children’s National Advoacy & Public Policy, Incorporated, an entity focused on defining and overseeing Children’s advocacy agenda. “We are pleased to formally announce the creation of a new advocacy and policy corporate entity,” said Edwin K. Zechman, Jr., president and CEO of Children’s National. “As the nation’s children’s hospital, we play an important role in serving as the voice for all children across the region and around the world.
